BioOil is the tarry liquid produced from the condensable phase of the syngas. Also known as pyrolysis oil, which contains both acids and a range of hydrocarbons. It can be further refined to become a chemical, transportation liquid fuel or combusted to provide heating or cooling to the industry.
We have developed a unique condensing process which cools down the condensable phase of the syngas to a temperature where it becomes liquid.
To produce a high quality pyrolysis oil from forest waste that can meet the industry standards, such as ASTM 9754.
Pyrolysis oil can be upgraded and used as a blend for refineries or as a heating oil for CHP systems.
The product can also be used a as a subsititute for different binders, i.e in asphalt or briquetting.

With precision control of residence time and a pyrolysis temperature close to 600°C, the BioCarbon we produce is nearly free of all PAHs and carries a carbon content of > 90%. With low ash-content and a low level of humidity, this basic BioCarbon is well adapted for use in various metallurgic applications.
Envigas BioCoke is made from BioCarbon, post-processed by densification and mixed with various types of binders. With a higher unit and bulk density, mechanical strength and a somewhat lower reactivity - it is suited for a broader range of applications.
